Arts & Crafts and Edwardian Jewelry
Following the Victorian period, was a style known as Edwardian Jewelry named after Edward VII who succeeded Queen Victoria on her death in 1901. It expanded from traditional jewelry designs to the use of pearls, diamonds, gold and platinum in a lacy, delicate appearance like some of the pieces shown here.
During the same period, there were breakaways from traditional designs called the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements whose jewelry was made out of silver, gold, enamel and many colors of semiprecious stones. These are also displayed on these pages.
